State Convention Date Set

Our 2012 State Convention is set for May 17th through the 20th of 2012 in Pagosa Springs. The Pagosa Springs Local will host the event at the Pagosa Lodge.

We need you to start getting all resolutions into us by February. Also, don't forget to nominate someone to receive the Kelly award. All you have to do is write a paragraph or two about how this individual promotes unionism. The winner will receive a plaque and $250.00.

CONTRACT WAS OUR FIRST PRIORITY

NOW WE NEED TO ENFORCE IT

I have sent information requests to all Level's 15, 16 and 18 offices requesting information regarding the size of the office, how many employees and what they do. I have also asked for the amount of time the postmaster or OIC does bargaining unit work, cleaning contracts and more.

They denied me the information so I had to file NLRB Charges on all of the offices for not providing what I asked for. The postal attorneys are now involved and told the NLRB that they will comply. So we are now just waiting to get all of the information so we can determine what violations if any are occurring in these offices.
